By creating an account or using Homeward ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Homeward is a ride-share and safety network built for college students, currently launching at Iowa State University. It lets students post and find rides, coordinate pickups by message, set location-based ride alerts, and optionally connect a parent or guardian to their account.
Homeward is intended for current college students, and for the parents/guardians they choose to connect. You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
Homeward is a platform for coordinating rides between individuals. We are not a transportation company, and we do not employ, background-check, insure, or supervise drivers. Any ride you post, accept, or take through Homeward is an arrangement between you and the other person — not a service provided by Homeward.
You use rides arranged through the app at your own risk. Use your own judgment: verify who you're riding with, share your trip details with someone you trust, and use common sense when meeting people from the app. Homeward does not guarantee the identity, driving record, vehicle safety, or conduct of any user.
The guardian-link feature is intended for genuine parent/guardian relationships and requires acceptance from both accounts. Impersonating someone else's guardian, or linking a guardian account without the student's knowledge and consent, is a violation of these terms.

We have zero tolerance for harassment or unsafe conduct. Reported accounts may be restricted or removed.
The app, including its design, code, and content, is owned by Homeward and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the content you post, but grant us the right to display it within the app to facilitate ride matching.
We strive to keep the app available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app, including expanding or changing which universities are supported, at any time. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Homeward and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to any injury, loss, or dispute arising from a ride arranged through the platform.
Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and share your data.
