Rally Trip helps a group plan a trip, say who is going, split costs and see who owes whom. We collect only what that needs. No ads, no analytics, no tracking, and we never sell data. Rally Trip never holds or moves your money.
A trip is shared with the people who join it. Everyone on a trip can see the trip's name, dates, schedule, who is going, the expenses recorded and who owes whom. People who are not on your trip cannot see any of it.
You can join a trip with a code and no account. The app then creates an anonymous guest account on our server so it remembers your place. If you add an email, we send a one-time code to that address through our email provider, Resend, and you sign in with the code. There are no passwords.
Rally Trip only keeps a record of who paid and who owes. It does not process payments. When you tap a Venmo, Cash App or PayPal.me link, that app opens and the payment happens there under that service's terms.
If you turn notifications on, your phone's token is stored so we can send you a message when an organizer confirms an event, messages the people going, or when an expense includes you. Messages are sent through Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging (and Apple's push service on iPhone). You can choose which kinds you get in Settings, and turn them off in your phone's settings at any time.
Trip data is stored with Supabase, our database host, in the United States. Sign-in emails are sent by Resend. Notifications are delivered through Firebase Cloud Messaging and the Apple Push Notification service. These providers process data only to run Rally Trip for you.
You can delete your account any time in Settings, Account, Delete account. We then remove your account, email, payment handles, notification settings and device tokens. You are removed from every trip. Expenses you were part of stay in each trip's record, shown as “Former member”, so everyone else's balances stay correct. Trips you organized pass to another member, or are deleted if nobody else joined. If you cannot open the app, email [email protected] from the address on your account and ask us to delete it.
We keep trip data while the trip exists and your account while it is open. Organizers can delete a trip, which removes its schedule and expenses for everyone.
Rally Trip is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
