Child Safety Standards

Prof Network has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). We do not permit any content or behavior that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits minors, anywhere on the platform, and we will remove any account involved in such activity and cooperate with law enforcement.

Who Prof Network is for

Prof Network is a private, membership-approved professional network built for one community at a time, starting with GOA Chicago. No one sees any member content until their community's Committee or Admin has reviewed and approved their membership.

Prof Network's mentorship program can include members who are minors, participating through a track sponsored by a parent or guardian. When a minor joins, we collect a parent/guardian name and phone number, visible only to that member and their community's Committee/Admin. See our Privacy Policy for exactly how that works.

What Prof Network does not do

There is no open member-to-member chat. Members can only message their community's Admin/Committee directly; the app can also send an automatic notification tied to a job or circle post a member created
There is no public content feed or open discovery. Member profiles, posts, jobs, and events are only visible within that member's own approved community, never to the public or to a different community
A member's private contact details, and a minor's parent/guardian contact, are never shown to other members, only to that member and their community's Committee/Admin

Reporting content or behavior

Any member can report a profile, job listing, or circle post directly from the app, with a reason. Reports go straight to that community's Committee/Admin for review; there is no member-visible report queue. Accounts found to violate these standards can be removed by that community's Admin.

Members can also personally block another member, which hides that member's content from their own feed. Blocking is a personal filter rather than a two-way messaging restriction, since Prof Network has no open member-to-member chat for a blocked member to abuse in the first place.

Reporting a CSAE concern to us

If you encounter content or behavior on Prof Network that you believe endangers a child, please use the in-app report feature, message your community's Admin/Committee, or contact us directly at [email protected]. We review every report we receive.

Where required by law, we will report apparent instances of child sexual abuse material or exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperate with law enforcement.

Account & data removal

Any account that violates these standards will be removed. Members can also delete their own account and all associated data at any time directly within the app — see our Privacy Policy for details.
